  • i wonder what it's like to have parents who speak the same language as i do.
ones who are fluent in the culture in which i live.
i wish she knew what my motivations were
    what my priorities are
in a language she could understand
    without dictionaries.

there are many times when i feel like i have many acquaintences
    but no immensely close friends...
    ones i tell everything to
    there's always something holding back
    and it's usually me.
    i'm mostly convinced now
    that it's my inability
    to be close to people.

they say that no man is an island
but who are they to think they are correct

  • Are you still in Japan?

  • if ur an island........ then i'm a seashell from there! :)   with all the memories of the island BUT unfortunately physically taken away from the beach for awhile... Miss u!  u can tell this seashell anything!!!!!

  • why aren't you in orange county?  i live near orange county now, to the point that i seem to hang out there more than here.  then again, you seem to hang out in gunma more than orange county lately too...maybe i'm just filling in for you while you're gone; but who is missing from japan that you've been filling in for all this time, and when are they coming back?

        Neon on my naked skin
Passing silhouettes of strange illuminated mannequins
Shall I stay here at the zoo
Or shall I go and change my point of view

alphaville really knew how to sum things up, didn't they?  i'm glad you didn't let a whole entire year go by before deciding to post.  are you planning to come back to ah-may-ree-kah someday?  are you building a whole life for yourself out there?  are you...big...in japan?  hahahahah...ugh...yeah, i miss you too...apparently, all your freaking acquaintances miss you, even if you were holding back.  and it's real hard to get close to people in one country when you go and stay in a different across an ocean and all that.  you are missed, miss.
